Antony Gormley's sculpture Field for the British Isles will be installed in the 14th century fan-vaulted North Cloister Walk from Saturday 1st May to Sunday 13th June 2004. Antony Gormley is well-known as the creator of the Angel of the North. Field, which consists of tens of thousands of clay figures, was recently at the British Museum; a new Asian Field will be in China during 2003.
This will be Field's first showing in Gloucestershire and only the second in the South West region.
