Parliament Room

Parliament Room

Next door, No 5, dates from the 15th century, while No 6 is an example from the 18th century. On the right is a timber framed building on a stone undercroft of the 13th century. This upper storey once extended further west, to comprise the main hall of the monastery. For a time it was used by the College School, but its present name, Parliament Room, commemorates the summoning here by Richard II in the year 1378.
