I was born and educated in Gloucester and art was my chosen career from an early age. After studying graghics and working for a few years in graphic design, I realised that my real passion was sculpture. After achieving a BA Hons in sculpture at Loughborough I was fortunate to work for Winchombe Pottery and then for Aardman Animations, where I worked on the second Wallace and Grommit feature film 'The Hare and the Tortoise'. I also worked on their 'Comfort' commercial. Then for three years I worked for Pangolin Editions, where I learnt the process of bronze casting. Throughout this time I have worked as a sculptor in both portrait and abstract form. I am particularly interested in finding ways of representing human energy and emotion. |
