My work is a response to my everyday surroundings. I depict places and objects I am familiar with, the light, structure and character of the subjects. I aim to capture a sense of time and place, as well as referring to the cultural inheritance they bring.

I draw with charcoal, work with oil paints and make black and white monoprints.
