Dinosaurs

Explore some of the Gloucester City Museum and Art Gallery's magnificent collection of fossils. These remains are the clues to some very different worlds millions of years ago.

There are the bones of dinosaurs such as the enormous Cetiosaurus and carnivorous Magalosaurus along with some of the very earliest true mammals in the world. Discoveries range from whole skeletons of giant sea reptiles down to the fragile leaves of exotic plants. There is even evidence of a local volcano.
