Folk Museum - Events Programme

 

Museums and Galleries Month 1 May - 30 May

There will be activities during May, particularly during the half term (24 - 31 May), on 'Ideas and Innovation' and how these are reflected in gadgets and labour-saving devices in the museum collections.

Cotton Motorcycle Rally Saturday 5 July, 11 - 4

Gloucester-made Cotton motorcycles from the 1920's to the 1970's gather in the yard at the rear of the Folk Museum. Held in partnership with the Cotton Owners' Club. There will be special children's activities on the day.

National Heritage Open Day Sat 13 Sept, 11 - 3

Take part in special family activities and a collections close-up.

Big Draw Saturday 18 October, 11 - 3

Discover a new hobby or revive those drawing techniques by taking part in this national event for all the family. All ages and abilities welcome.

Apple Day Saturday 25 October, 11 - 4

Join in this annual celebration - see a demonstration of a horse-powered cider mill crushing apples, followed by a huge cider press extracting the juice. There will be apple games, activities, music and entertainment for all.
