Bag Ladies 5 April - 17 May

This looks at the history of handbags and baskets from around the world, from 19th.century pockets to Anya Hindmarch's 'Not a Plastic Bag'. People's bags and baskets are affected by what they were designed to carry and the materials available. They were also indicators of the owners' social standing and latterly of their fashion credentials! This is a Ceredigion Museum touring exhibition.

FOLK MUSEUM EXHIBITIONS PROGRAMME 2008

B.C

B C: Before Computers 24 May - 28 June

An amazing array of complex, unwieldy labour- saving machines that secretaries and office workers struggled with before the advent of computers. Items range from slide rules to Gestetner copiers and from early typewriters to comptometers. It appeals to all age groups - those that remember using the machines and young people that can't envisage a world without computers. This is a Ceredigion Museum touring exhibition.
