Came to Gloucester because of her husband's job.

One of my favourite times in Gloucester was when we had some huge sewage pipes put down and just overnight they had to close Elmbridge Road to traffic. From being a really busy thoroughfare it was suddenly very quiet and you'd go to sleep at night and it was like being in the country and you'd wake up and hear the birds. Children would be playing cricket in the road and the neighbours would come out and chat. It went from being a busy suburb of a town to being like a little village.
