Born: "I was born in the City in a public house called The Old House at Home, King St. I've lived in Gloucester all my life."

High point of life here: "Whilst I was at Quedgley I took the role of Parish Councillor for 9 years. I also founded the Gardening Club, being the chairman there for 5 years."

Other high points: "I've got a few hobbies. I do a lot of indoor bowling, as a matter of fact my wife and I have been elected to the county. I do a lot of trout fishing and salmon fishing when I can. I play cricket a lot. I used to play for the Gloucester Harlequins. I've had a good life as regards sport, cricket, swimming, table tennis. Yes I have had a tremendously busy life."
