Born in Cardiff - ordained in 1966

I came to live in Gloucester 27 years ago when I was posted here by the then Bishop in preparation for the meteoric growth in housing in what I like to call Quedgwick - Quedgeley and Hardwicke and to prepare the church for the demands this change would bring.

Gloucester is a nice place to live, it's comfortable and convenient, it doesn't have vast social problems and is set in beautiful countryside

The area of Quedgeley and Hardwicke has changed enormously in the time that I have been here. I believe the population growth has exceeded something like 1000% in the last ten years or so. This in turn has brought huge geographic and demographic changes to the area.
